Sri Veermakaliamman Temple

A thousand colours.

The Sri Veermakaliamman Temple in the heart of " Little India" in Singapore was built in 1881 by Indian pioneers. It is one of the oldest temples in Singapore. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess Kali and its sumptuously decorated interior makes it one the most visited temples in the city.

The "gopuram" tower according to Indian traditions is built high enough to enable the faithful to worship from a distance.
Getting there: Station: Little India MRT
