Singapore Art Museum (SAM)
Modern and contemporary art in Singapore.
Opened in 1996, the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) houses one of the world's largest collections of the modern and contemporary art of Southeast Asia.
The museum moved from Bras Basah Road to Queen Street and is now installed in a former Catholic school, one of the finest remnants of colonial Singapore.
The Bras Basah Road location just opposite the famous Raffles Hotel is still a cultural space filled with books and music.
