Peranakan Museum

Dedicated to the Peranakan.
Peranakan Museum (affiliated with the Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore) is located in the former Tao Nan Chinese School dating from 1912. As the name suggests, the museum is dedicated to the Peranakan community of Southeast Asia, the descendants of Chinese immigrants who settled the British colonies of the Straits, including Singapore. The galleries are spread over three floors and present objects referring to cultural traditions and the rather special visual arts associated with the Peranakan.
